85% of Iranians voted on Friday. Leaked figures from the Interior Ministry show that about 75% of voters, 33 million voters chose either Mousavi or Karoubi, the moderate candidates. Ahmadinejad and the Supreme Leader Khomeini saw the massive political movement building in the last few days, and decided to issue fake results, stating an impossible 62% Ahmadinejad victory. Tehran and every major city is currently under martial law. There is no internet/cellphone access in the cities, and all opposition candidates are either under house arrest or in prison at this point. Mousavi has called for a massive protest march in every Iranian city tomorrow, and is pulling a 20th century classic by calling for a general strike on tuesday.
Powerful political powerbrokers are fighting within the regime, with the potential for Khomeini to be internally deposed. The loyalty of the Revolutionary Guard is questionable, and there are reports of "Green" protestors having taken police stations. Hezbollah Arabs have been brought in because some Iranian policemen are refusing to beat protestors. Foreign press is being banned. I have to say, I don't really see an endgame to this that doesn't involve a lot more violence. Follow updates at Sullivan/Huff Po.
Correction: Newer numbers put Mousavi's vote closer to 57%, Ahmadinejad with 28%. Tanks are starting to arrive in Tehran. University was just raided. Students dead.
